Breath taking! This is one of those pieces that should be on your bucket list to sing, direct and hear performed well by a choir like this. Bravo!

Title: Alleluia
Composer: Ralph Manuel
Director: Dr. Brady Allred
Ensemble: the University of Utah Singers

1. Sue Rarus - April 26, 2011

Beautiful indeed. Reminiscent, at least to my ears of Randall Thompson’s Alleluia (some harmonies/rhythms/phrases), which remains to me the BEST Alleluia there is.

I was actually looking for a video of the Thompson Alleluia when I found this. I still haven’t found one with a tempo I like, everyone takes it a little too fast for my taste. Feel free to suggest a video of the Thompson if you know a good one. I agree it is one of the most beautiful pieces on Earth.
